SiteVerify is a free extension for Joomla 1.5.x. It's a simple Plugin that allows site administrators to add the HTML META tags needed for site verification with the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, and Live.com.

There are a few similar plugins available that served as inspiration for this one.  Here are the improvements that JoomlaFare's SiteVerify Plugin brings:

• No need to install separate Plugins for Google, Yahoo, and Live.com
• Only adds the META tag if the parameter for the particular search engine has been entered
• Only displays on the home page...the only place it is necessary

Just download, install, configure, enable, and enjoy!

the script on xtpolls breaks this great plugin. simply don't publish any polls on the home page.

change your code to the new meta-tag provided by google - tag should now be name="google-site-verification"
